During exams, you need to remember that you need to focus on the easy and medium-level questions.

 

You need to control your temptation to mark all the questions.

Statement 4 is wrong: CCO does not ensure that coal mining companies deliver the coal to end users in the prescribed time.

 

Statement 3 is correct: CCO has the jurisdiction to hear any objections to the Central Government's Notification relating to the acquisition of coal-bearing land and to report to the Central Government.

Aim- To meet the coal requirement during First World War.

 

What is a Captive coal mine/ block?

 

Captive mines are the mines that are owned by companies.

 

The coal or mineral produced from these mines is for the exclusive use of the owner company of the mines.

 

The company cannot sell coal or mineral outside.

is a premier Institute appointed as an apex body to support and guide the Government of India in its urban development plans.

 

 

Recently, World Economic Forum and NIUA signed an MoU to Collaborate on a jointly designed ‘Sustainable Cities India program’.

 

What is  ‘Sustainable Cities India program’.?

 

It  intends to enable cities to

decarbonise in a systematic and sustainable.

 

What will they do?

 

They will adapt the WEF City Sprint process and Toolbox of Solutions for decarbonization.

 

What is the City Sprint process?
